Assailants Kill Police officers
Police in Mityana is hunting for two assailants accused of killing two police officers attached to Busunju Police Station in Mityana District.
The deceased police cops identified as Corporal Alfred Oketch and Police Constable Moses Kigongo were killed on Tuesday night after a confrontation with the officers.

Wamala Region police mouthpiece Racheal Kawala says that the deceased were approached by an unidentified local at the Busunju police station who informed them that a suspected thief was being lynched. She says the accused officers rushed to the scene but found the unknown thugs instead.
She explains that one officer was beheaded using a sharp machete while another was shot dead with a police gun, they had grabbed.
Kawala says preliminary information shows that there was a planned out conspiracy to kill the police officers.
