Milan and on-form Juventus
Thanks to a lengthy unbeaten streak, Juventus have climbed to fifth in the table. They now sit five points clear of sixth-place Fiorentina and two point behind fourth-place Atalanta.
As for Milan, they find themselves second – five points behind league-leading Inter Milan and seven points ahead of Juventus.
Juventus claimed an emphatic 4-1 victory over Sampdoria in the Coppa Italia on Tuesday, booking their place in the quarter-finals.
Not only did Max Allegri’s men enjoy 63% possession last time out, but they also racked up a whopping 27 shots – 15 of which were on target.
In Serie A, Juventus are currently enjoying an eight-match unbeaten streak – having secured six wins and two draws since their last loss.
When you look at the bigger picture, Juventus have lost just five of their previous 30 away games in Italy’s top tier.
They have also scored at least one goal in each of their last 15 away games in Serie A, so they will be confident of getting on the scoresheet this weekend.
On the flip side, AC Milan made a seriously strong start to the season but have taken a turn for the worse of late.
After winning ten of their opening 12 matches, Milan have managed to win just five of their previous ten Serie A outings – suffering four defeats in the process.
Still, it is worth pointing out that Milan have only lost four of their previous 27 encounters in the Italian top flight.
Trends show that each of Milan’s past four Serie A games have produced over 2.5 goals, so we should see plenty of action on Sunday.
Head-to-head: Juventus have scored over 1.5 goals in each of their previous four away games against Milan in Serie A.
Across all competitions, Milan have only managed to win two of their last 16 meetings with the Old Lady.
Team news: Milan are currently without AFCON trio Franck Kessie, Fode Ballo-Toure and Ismael Bennacer. Simon Kjaer, Pietro Pellegri and Fikayo Tomori are all injured.
Milan and on-form Juventus
Juventus will be without the injured quartet of Federico Chiesa, Aaron Ramsey, Leonardo Bonucci and Federico Bernadeschi on Sunday.
Although Milan lead Juventus in the table, Juventus have upped their game recently and are chasing down Milan.
