Several SC Villa players and a coach have suffered injuries in an accident as the club was travelling to Gulu on Saturday afternoon.

Villa is supposed to take on Super Eagles in the Uganda Cup round of 64 on Sunday, February 20 at the Peace Stadium in Gulu and the winner is to take on Express fc in the round of 32.

“It is sad that the team has been involved in an accident at Migeera on their way to Gulu to play in the Uganda Cup but their are no fatalities, luckily. The administrator revealed.

The Jogoos set off for Gulu on Saturday morning to honor their Uganda Cup round of 64 clash, one of two ties yet to be played.

After the accident, we wait to see if the Jogoos will honour the fixture or whether it will be postponed by Federation of Uganda Football Association (FUFA) competitions committee

Villa is currently undergoing a slump in form and they are winless in their last six games. If they negotiate past Super Eagles, a date away to Express FC awaits them at the round of 32.
