FUFA postpones Villa’s Uganda Cup game
The Federation of Uganda Football Association (FUFA) through it’s Competitions Department headed by hajat Aisha Nalule, has postponed SC Villa’s Uganda Cup round of 64 fixture.
The Jogoos were scheduled to take on Super Eagles at the Peace Stadium in Gulu on Sunday, February 20 but due to the terrible accident they suffered at Migeera on Saturday afternoon with their bus overturning, their game has been postponed till further notice.
It has been reported that some of the players and technical team got serious injuries. After getting first aid at St. Francis Clinic, they have travelled back to Kampala for further treatment.
In light of the information that has circulated across several media outlets and social media, FUFA says the game can nolonger take place and it has been postponed to a further date.
“It is on a sad note that we have received information about SC Villa players and officials being involved in a horrible accident involving the club bus on it’s way to Gulu for a Stanbic Uganda Cup match slated on Sunday, February 20 at Pece Stadium. The FUFA letter addressed to the Villa CEO read.
“In light of the above, we inform you that the above match has been postponed until further notice.”

The game between Villa and Super Eagles is one of only two round of 64 fixtures that are yet to be played.
Tomorrow Monday there are two games scheduled. In Kabale, 3rd division side Kigezi Homeboyz FC host current Stanbic Bank Uganda Cup champions Vipers SC in their Round of 64 tie,
While the Round of 32 gets underway in Bombo as UPDF FC host Impala Hill FC at 3pm with this game being shown live on UBC TV as well as live updates will be on 100.2 Galaxy FM in Vuvuzela Muntabwe.
FUFA postpones Villa’s Uganda Cup game
With the Uganda Cup round of 32 scheduled for next week, we wait to see how the Villa game will be fixed but this remains Uganda of which anything can be possible.
The winner of that particular tie takes on Express FC at Wankulukuku at the round of 32. It should be remembered that the Wankulukuku based team is under coach James Odoch who lost his first game by 1-0 against Busoga United last week.
