Bayern München with 1-0 Deficit

The Champions League quarter final second legs take place this week and on Tuesday the 12th of April we have a meeting between Bayern München and Villarreal. The game will take place at the Allianz Arena and Villarreal have a 1-0 goal lead to defend from the first leg in Spain.

Bayern München come into the match having beat Augsburg 1-0 at home in the Bundesliga on the weekend. Bayern München struggled to breakdown their opponents but scored the winning goal from the penalty spot with 8 minutes of the game remaining.

That result means Bayern München are undefeated in nine of their last 10 fixtures in all competitions. They have lost only one of their 14 most recent home games in all competitions and have won each of their last four in the Champions League at the Allianz Arena.

Bayern München have won 12 of their last 13 home Champions League fixtures and have been scoring plenty of goals at home in the competition this season.

Bayern München have scored three or more goals in each of their last home Champions League matches and two or more goals in each of their last 13 home games in the UCL.

Villarreal make the trip to the Allianz Arena having picked up a point in a 1-1 draw at home against Athletic Club in La Liga on the weekend. The away team opened the scoring just before half time but Villarreal scored the equaliser 15 minutes into the second half.

Bayern München with 1-0 Deficit

That result means Villarreal have won only one of their last four fixtures in all competitions. There have been defeats against Cadiz and Levante in La Liga but the victory came in the first leg of this tie at home against Bayern München last week.

Villarreal are undefeated in their four most recent Champions League games, including wins at Atalanta and Juventus, the latter of which was an excellent 3-0 victory in Italy.
