Salah to rediscover his form
One week on from their thrilling 2-2 draw in the Premier League, Manchester City and Liverpool meet again, this time at Wembley in the FA Cup semi-finals.
Both sides booked their spot in the Champions League semi-finals in midweek, with Man City edging out Atletico Madrid and Liverpool seeing off Benfica.
With just a single point between first-place Man City and second-place Liverpool in the Premier League table, Saturday’s showdown is destined to be another entertaining clash.
Pep Guardiola’s side kicked off their FA Cup campaign with a 4-1 victory over Swindon Town before beating Fulham by the same scoreline in the fourth round.
Following a 2-0 win against Peterborough United in the fifth round, Man City booked their place in the semi-finals with another 4-1 thrashing of Southampton.
When you look at the bigger picture, Man City have lost just one of their previous 24 outings across all competitions.
On the flip side, Liverpool drew 3-3 with Benfica on Wednesday but advanced to the Champions League semi-finals thanks to a 6-4 aggregate victory.
In the FA Cup, the Reds dispatched Shrewsbury Town (4-1), Cardiff City (3-1) and Norwich City (2-1) before edging out Nottingham Forest (1-0) in the quarter-finals.
Jurgen Klopp’s team head into Saturday’s clash on a seven-game unbeaten streak across all competitions, having secured five wins and two draws.
After suffering a solitary defeat in their previous 23 encounters, Liverpool will be confident of giving Man City a run for their money this weekend.
Head-to-head: Man City and Liverpool played out a 2-2 draw last weekend, meaning each of their past two meetings have ended 2-2.
That said, Liverpool have failed to win any of their last five games against City recording three draws and two losses in the process.
Salah to rediscover his form
Team news: Man City could be without Kevin De Bruyne and Kyle Walker on Saturday after the pair went off injured in midweek.
As for Liverpool, there are question marks over the fitness of Diogo Jota and Mohamed Salah – although both players are expected to play some part this weekend.
