Police in Masaka have nabbed six suspects, all staff of Aim Global Alliance for duping unsuspecting Ugandans large sums of money for sham jobs.

According to Police, the company has so far recruited a total of 308 youths, including 17 juveniles mainly from from Eastern Region, Central and Northern Regions who were undergoing training to preparation for their new jobs, at Gretor Hotel in Masaka City. 

Fred Enanga, the Uganda Police Spokesperson says all new recruits were tasked to pay Ugx 900,000 which was deposited in one of their accounts at Equity Bank. He says they were tasked to recruit two more people for the sequence to continue, so that they benefit form the commission.

A serious manhunt is now taking place for the Director, called Taremwa Moses who is still at large.

Enanga says police are working with the Ministry of Gender to capture such groups promoting scam online jobs. He adds that Hon. Minister of State for Gender, Peace Mutunzo organised transport refund for the victims to return to their homes, after sensitizing them on the dangers of such traffickers.
