Ugandan talent continues to thrive on the global stage, and one shining example is YangJ Sound, a Sweden-based singer making waves with the release of the visuals for his latest track, “Far Away.”
Born Samuel Naminya Egesa in Kampala, YangJ Sound is known for his unique fusion of Afrobeat, Afro Zouk, Dancehall, and R&B Pop. Over the years, he has carved out a loyal fanbase in Sweden, becoming one of Uganda’s most recognized musical exports in the Scandinavian region.
YangJ Sound has previously dropped tracks like “Nakakawa” and “Nambi,” and has performed on major international stages, including the East West Vibes show at A75 in Stockholm.
“Far Away,” which was released as an audio single a few months ago, is a soulful love ballad penned by YangJ himself and produced by Ugandan hitmaker Artin Pro.
The song explores the pain and longing of loving someone from a distance, resonating deeply with anyone who’s been in a long-distance relationship.
Now, with the official music video out, YangJ takes the storytelling to a new level. Directed by Michael Lebanc of IF Productionsab, the visuals are a vibrant, emotionally rich portrayal of love and separation.
