The vibrant city of Kampala is set to come alive with the sounds of music and culture on June 21, 2025, as we celebrate World Music Day at the prestigious Kampala Sheraton Hotel. Celebrated every June 21st, Fete de la Musique-or World Music Day-began in France in 1982 as a nationwide celebration inviting everyone to make and enjoy music in the streets, parks, and public spaces.

The festivities will commence at 4 PM, featuring an impressive lineup of talented artists who are set to captivate the audience with their performances. This year, we are thrilled to present a diverse array of artists, including the renowned Ykee Benda, the dynamic Zex Bilangi Langi, soulful Ebrahim Soul’o, the electrifying Blac Queen, the enchanting Andereya Baguma, the iconic Professor Joewi, and the innovative Black Wave Sounds. Each artist brings a unique flair and musical style, promising an unforgettable experience for all attendees.

This year’s World Music Day celebration is particularly significant as it is a free event, allowing everyone in the community to partake in the joy of music without any financial barriers, accordingly to the core value of Alliance Francaise de Kampala: democratize access to music for the greatest number. The inclusion of a dynamic hype policy by the energetic Adele Kiele will enhance the atmosphere, ensuring that the excitement and energy of the performances resonate throughout the venue.
