MTN Uganda has officially begun rewarding lucky customers in the ongoing “Digida and Win with MTN CallerTunez” campaign, with the first motorbike handed over today to Alice Nabasumba in Kasangati, Kampala. This marks the start of a month-long reward rollout across the country, recognizing MTN customers who have embraced local music by activating CallerTunez.
The campaign, which was launched on 19th May 2025, encourages customers to download and set their favourite CallerTune via *170*12#, or copy a friend’s tune by pressing * or # during a call. Customers who activate and maintain a CallerTune beyond the free trial period stand a chance to win monthly motorbikes and weekly UGX 100,000 cash prizes.
Speaking at the handover event in Kasangati, Ndawula Mavis Ndagire Musungu, MTN Uganda’s GTM Digital Specialist, expressed her excitement at the customer response so far:
“Music is a vital part of who we are as Ugandans. Through CallerTunez, we’re not just supporting our artists — we’re creating a movement that celebrates our sound and rewards fans for being part of it. Today’s handover is the first of many, and it shows that when we celebrate our music together, our hits truly become unstoppable.”
MTN Uganda will continue its reward tour across the country, handing over prizes to lucky winners in different regions throughout the campaign period. Each reward event will be accompanied by local artist showcases, MTN Rig activations, and surprise Mobile Money drops of UGX 20,000 to selected CallerTunez users — all aimed at keeping the excitement alive and encouraging even more customers to participate.
As part of MTN’s Ambition 2025 to build the largest and most valuable platforms, the “Digida and Win with MTN CallerTunez” campaign reflects the brand’s commitment to the Ugandan music industry, customer engagement, and digital innovation.
