Hold onto your wigs, Uganda — the tea is scorching!

Last night, the Ugandan music scene was thrown into chaos after singer Allan Toniks, real name Allan Ampaire, stirred up controversy on X (formerly Twitter) with a shady comment that fans are calling downright disrespectful.
It all started when Galaxy FM’s X page posted a stunning snap of songstress Rema Namakula, captioning the photo with glowing praise about how her hubby, Dr. Hamza Ssebunya, had truly ‘Got himself a beautiful Queen.’ Social media users couldn’t agree more — hearts, fire emojis, and sweet comments flooded in.
But trust Allan Toniks to swerve into the convo with some serious sass.
Instead of joining the love fest, Toniks quote-tweeted the post with a comment that sent jaws crashing to the floor:
“First wash her face.”
Yikes!
Within minutes, X users were dragging Toniks like a faulty sound system. Fans slammed the “Beera Nange” crooner for what they called a “low blow” and “a clear cry for attention.” Some even accused him of chasing clout instead of releasing new music.
“Bro, when was your last hit song?” one user clapped back.
“Instead of shading women, hit the studio,” another fired off.
Many felt Toniks’ comment was not only unnecessary but also reeked of jealousy and insecurity — especially since Rema has been minding her glowing business and enjoying her marriage bliss.

As of now, Toniks hasn’t issued any apology or clarification — and fans aren’t letting up. Screenshots of the post are making rounds, and the backlash shows no signs of slowing down.
