The Ugandan music scene is no stranger to drama — but this time, it’s rising star Aaronix throwing serious shade at industry heavyweight Bebe Cool, and the internet is still picking up the pieces!

While music icons Chameleone, Bobi Wine, and Bebe Cool are often praised as the Holy Trinity of Uganda’s music revolution, Aaronix has made it clear: Bebe Cool doesn’t make his cut.

“I have nothing to learn from Bebe Cool,” Aaronix said bluntly during a fiery interview with a local YouTuber. “Chameleone and Bobi Wine are in a league of their own.”

Aaronix hailed Chameleone as the “complete artist” whose music speaks across generations and Bobi Wine as the “visionary leader” who turned from mic to parliament — now serving as the President of Uganda’s biggest opposition party.

But when it came to Bebe Cool? Aaronix didn’t hold back.

“Bebe Cool hasn’t accomplished anything worth copying,” he said. “He should be investing in young talent — he has the money, but where’s the impact?”

Ouch. That one hit Gagamel hard.

The comments triggered a firestorm of backlash from fans and industry insiders alike, many accusing Aaronix of disrespecting a legend.

And just like that — the mic was dropped, picked back up, and used for an apology.

Aaronix has since walked back his statements, issuing an apology to Bebe Cool as the pressure mounted. But the damage may already be done, with some fans wondering if this was a bold callout — or a rookie mistake.
