Abdu Katuntu is a highly regarded lawmaker in Parliament but FDC do not want to hear any of his praises.
Party President Patrick Oboi Amuriat swung the axe on Katuntu’s neck leaving him fuming and those in the Committee on Statutory Authorities and State Enterprises (COSASE) which he headed disturbed.
Amuriat who is championing a defiance and activism mission in the party wants politicians who are going to eat on the same plate with him.
Katuntu is a gentleman and will be comfortable fighting his brain and mouth but his hands or legs as his boss would prefer.
Many in his committee believe in Katuntu’s methods and look at him as a fearless, aggressive and hardworking fella who should have kept his position.
@PatrickAmuriat chooses to differ and claims the Bugweri Couty legislator refused to work within the set framework.
Katuntu admits he was dropped for towing a different line other than that of Najjanankumbi, which advocated for activism.
He said: “I think he(Amuriat) expected me to bring activism in the committee workings which I cannot do…”
