Sheebah Karungi has shared a heartfelt look into the emotional and physical challenges she’s faced since welcoming her son, Amir, and making her way back into the music scene.

The self-proclaimed Karma Queen took a break from the spotlight late last year to focus on motherhood, announcing a temporary pause to fully embrace her new role. Now, six months later, Sheebah is back on stage but says the journey has been far from easy.

In a candid interview on her YouTube channel, Sheebah opened up about the profound changes motherhood has brought to her life.

“Honestly, I was scared this time round,” she admitted. “Giving birth changes a woman’s body, mind, and everything about her life. It’s still not easy balancing both.”

The singer revealed that one of her biggest challenges has been leaving her son when duty calls.

“Sometimes he refuses to let me go,” she said with a smile. “I’m still trying to find that balance, but I know I’ll be fine. Every mother goes through it.”

Despite the struggles, Sheebah remains optimistic. She says she’s learning to navigate her new dual identity as both a devoted mother and a performer and assures fans that this new chapter will only inspire her to create even more powerful music.

“It’s all part of the journey,” she shared. “I’m slowly adjusting, and the best is yet to come.”

With her signature resilience and honesty, Sheebah continues to prove why she remains one of Uganda’s most beloved stars showing that strength, vulnerability, and ambition can beautifully coexist.
