Government last night listened to MPs’ outcry by lifting ban on airtime scratch cards.
A meeting organized by the Speaker Rebecca Kadaga and the minister of Information Technology Frank Tumwebaze, resolved listen to MPs’ arguments.
Minister Tumwebaze announced the new development immediately after meeting at the Speakers chambers.
Speaker Kadaga and other lawmakers argued that if the ban is sanctioned, it will affect the rural community who are not tech savvy and rely on scratch cards as a source of employment.
