The Police leadership has warned that it will deal with its own officers over their use of excessive force on protesters.
Police has arrested two of their own who are suspected to have been involved in the killing of a civilian during the Mityana Protests on Sunday.
National Police spokesman Emilian Kayima revealed: “The officers were identified by the missing bullets in their guns after the protests were done.”
Kayima on Kampala riots told media that 45 were arrested.
He said: “We want to ask Ugandans, Kampalans to desist from these acts. Riots are criminal acts, they don’t built but break a nation. Including; Nakasero Market, Martin Road, Kiseka Market and some parts of Old Kampala.”
