Police chief Okoth Ochola has broken silence on the dark cloud surrounding the arrest of Kyadondo East MP Robert Kyagulanyi also known as Bobi Wine and colleague Francis Zaake in Arua during the heated by election.

Reports in Bobi Wine’s camp claimed the legislator was not at the scene of crime but in his hotel room in Pacific Hotel in Arua.

However, addressing scribes in Kampala last night, police chief revealed that the politician cum singer was at the scene of crime at his arrest.

IGP Ochola said: “Bobi Wine was arrested and others because they were at the crime scene. They had to be taken to court to prove that they are not the ones who stoned President Museveni’s car or killing the person that died in Arua.”

Bobi Wine was stripped of charges of treason at the Army General Court Martial but charged by the civilian court in Gulu and remains in jail.
