Gen. Kahinda Otafiire could not hold his anger at those attacking President Yoweri Museveni over the 1995 Constitution.
Gen. Otafiire, the minister of Justice was presenting a paper at the Uganda Human Rights Commission discourse on Constitution Day at Sheraton Hotel in Kampala.
The minister and bush war general blasted: “I was there when constitution was being made. I made my contribution, however, small and I occasionally feel insulted when people refer to 1995 constitution to as the Museveni constitution.”
Gen. Otafiire continued: “I feel very, very insulting. And it should be stopped. I feel it is insulting the intelligence of the people of Uganda because an election for CA delegates was held. The people of Uganda chose their delegates.”
He went on: “Those delegates converged in Kampala in Conference Centre for more than a year and put together this constitution under which we are governed. So how does it become a Museveni Constitution?”
