The much anticipated Bobi Wine’s Kayarenga concert at Mandela National Stadium has been blocked again by the stadium management over Uganda Cranes’ African Nations Cup qualifier engagement.

The organizers of the concert had earlier planned November 20th but Namboole management told them that the venue was already booked. They again booked November 9th but Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) CEO, Edgar Watson wrote to the stadium management complaining that Uganda Cranes have a game against Cape Verde on November 16.
Citing, CAF warning, Watson argued that Uganda Cranes could be docked points over the state of the pitch.
“As you are already aware CAF already warned Uganda on the stadium standard after a similar event was organised before Uganda Cranes played Ghana in October 2017 last year. CAF is keenly observing the stadium conditions as a key competition factor. Mandela National Stadium is under ‘red flag’ and the Uganda Cranes match due for Cape Verde may be put off by CAF which will henceforth result to Uganda’s failure to qualify for the finals of AFCON Cameroon 2019 – Finals” FUFA CEO warned Namboole management.
