An 18 year old boy has petitioned High Court in Kampala seeking for the unconditional release of his father, a photographer, who was arrested three weeks ago by armed men from his workplace, a Photo Studio in Kazo-Angola Central Zone, Kawempe Division.
Derrick Kibirige wants court to compel government produce his father, Sulaiman Ssenfuka in court dead or alive.
Kibirige filed the application against the Attorney General , the Chief of Defence Forces, the Inspector General of Police ,the Director of Internal Security Organization and the Director of Chieftaincy of Military Intelligence .
Through Nalukoola, Kakeeto Advocates and Solicitors, Kibirige says that his father Ssenfuka, a photographer was arrested on 11th/October/2018 and that on that fateful date, a search was also conducted and the armed officers destroyed several items
The items included; studio lights, photograph frames and video tapes before forcing his father into the waiting mini bus which sped off to unknown destination.
The family reported the matter to Uganda Human Rights Commission and other Security Offices but no positive results.
