The General Court Martial Abdallah Kitata was left fighting tears at the Army General Court Martial in Makindye after Gen. Andrew Gutti denied him bail fearing he will interfere with investigations.

Kitata has now suffered double jeopardy in his bid to obtain bail from the army court which is handling his trial.

In his ruling Tuesday morning, court chairman, Lt.Gen. Gutti told Kitatta being a prominent figure in society, he is likely to interfere with investigations.

He also ruled that charges against Kitatta are capital in nature and releasing him would see him abscond.

Kitatta was early this year denied bail on similar grounds but he took a shot for a second attempt.

His tearful relatives sounded bitter and castigated NRM for leaving him to suffer what he has given out for his party.
