
Kampala Mister Betty Kamya has today revealed that President Museveni is yet to respond to the resignation of former Kampala capital city authority executive director Jennipher Musisi ,who officially handed over her office, following her resignation notice issued on October 15th.
Musisi wrote to president Museveni informing him about her resignation effective December 15 after serving a period of seven and a half years.
Musisi in her resignation letter cited lack of political support and low funding among other reasons as the major factors that led to her resignation.
She also informed journalist’s earlier that she has achieved a number of things in the city ranging from infrastructure, healthy, education among others asserting that the authority will thrive even when she departs.
However, Minister Kamya said president Museveni has not yet responded to Musisi’s notice and neither has he announced the new person to replace the iron lady.
Musisi, who in her speech said she was leaving a fulfilled woman as she accomplished almost all the promises she made to the people of Uganda, handed over the seal of authority, 13 KCCA accounts worth Shs113.9 billion, 250 KCCA land titles, a list of staff members, ministerial reports, pending and on-going projects, financial year reports, reports of city festivals, among others items.
