The integrity of Parliament is under fresh scrutiny as Speaker Rebecca Kadaga has lashed at some MPs who dodge sessions and committee sittings, but continue to back-sign attendance registers(to tap in the allowances).

Speaking at launch of parliamentary forum on Ethics and integrity,  the visibly furious Kadaga revealed a litany of tricks used by MPs to make a quick buck ranging from signing the attendance register even when they dodge plenary sessions, backdating their signatures to days when they were not at Parliament to switching flights from parliamentary travels and returning home despite pocketing hefty allowances.

On his part, Nsaba Buturo, says the country is losing its moral values as MPs, Ministers, and members who are supposed to be morally upright are the very ones misleading the public.

The Parliamentary Forum on ethics and integrity is expected to take the lead at Parliament in looking at moral standards, ethics and keep the country and leaders in check by establishing policies and guidance in regards to issues of integrity.
