Micheal Alinda, a.k.a Ziggy Wyne shot to the limelight when his picture was carried on a front page of a local daily indicating that he had been dumped at Mulago hospital having been abducted, tortured, two fingers cut off and eye plucked out.
The newspaper has since issued an apology after police clarified that his death was caused by an accident in which he sustained head injuries after knocking a man and a lady on July 21 along the northern bypass, in Kyebando.
People Power supporters however claimed the police report was a ‘lie’,mantaining that the state was responsible.
However, Police seem to be determined to challenge, with each account of evidence they produce, Bobi Wine , his People Power supporters’ and other critics making ‘noise’ with their narrative regarding the death of little known musician Ziggy Wine.
In their latest effort ,police have paraded their officer ASP Hellen Butoto whom a number of critics ,mainly people power supporters claimed was the witness planted by the force as the victim in the fatal motorbike accident that Ziggy Wine was involved in along the northern bypass on 21st July, 2019.

It was claimed that Loy Atworo, a teacher at Happy Amy Academy who presented to told journalists to give her account of her involvement in the same accident that claimed Ziggy Wyne’s life was one of their own,a police officer they identified as Butoto.
Now, in a no nonsense act, Police was prompted to parade Butoto and Atworo together in one place to prove to critics that the two are not the same people.
In a Facebook post, police also took a swipe at the critics in a cheeky caption; ‘1-0 Some people said the victim of Zigy Wyne produced was ASP Hellen Butoto. Both are here.’
Ziggy was buried at his native home in Mitooma district on Wednesday.
