Over the weekend, the Tokosa Food Festival returned for the fifth edition at the Kampala Sheraton Hotel gardens. There was huge turn up despite a heavy downpour early in the day. The event attracted different food lovers who enjoyed the various food offerings on exhibition by different vendors.

However, the event was not only about food, there were a lot of activities like Zumba, music performances, Kids’ games, cooking competitions among others.

Kids showcased their cooking skills in the junior chef category competition while the adults battled for bragging rights in other categories including bachelors and couples with the CEO face-off to top off the cooking challenge.

The winners from different categories walked away with lots of goodies from Shell Gas.

After cooking competitions, music performances took center-stage. Lilian Mbabazi alongside her band, the Sundowners, was the first act of the evening, stepping on stage shortly after 7pm. She sung songs like “Obudde”, “Dagala” and “Vitamin” among others. She also paid tribute to fallen fiancee Late Mowzey Radio.

She was later followed by John Blaq who later invited Vinka on stage as they performed their collabo, “sweet love”. Vinka went on to perform several of her other songs like “Malaika”, “Sure” and “My Baibe” among others before inviting Winnie with their latest collaboration dubbed, ‘amaaso’.

Dj Stef climaxed the day with massive mixes that kept the crowds on their feet .
