Legislator Francis Zzaake had Makerere University Vice Chancellor Prof Nawangwe on the edge of his seat in Parliament Wednesday at the Parliamentary Committee on Education.
The committee summoned Makerere University management to explain the root cause of the brutal riots at the university leading to injuries to students and destruction of property.

Zzaake who sits in the committee, charged at Prof Nawangwe like a wounded lion as the session kicked off, shooting question after question.

The little man from Mityana taunted Makerere University’s top man by alleging that he has a group of babes who he digs that spy for him.
“I don’t have spies at Makerere, students give me information willingly”, Prof Nawangwe shot back.
And he then went on to throw mad at Prof Nawangwe who simply laughed that he roams on campus like a war lord with a pistol and threatens innocent students.

However, Zzaake’s nose diving at the big man from the Ivory Tower rubbed the committee chief Jacob Oboth the wrong way and ordered the legislator to shut up.
The legislator zipped his mouth but no sooner had the session ended than he sprinted to the door way to continued with the unfinished business.
Prof Nawangwe had a difficult afternoon with legislators who grilled him and accused him of receiving orders from above to run the university affairs.
He was accompanied by University Council deputy Vice Chairperson Dan Kidega and deputy university secretary Yusuf Kiranda.
