Glorious 43rd birthday wishes to reigning Federation of Uganda Football Associations-FUFA president Engineer Hashim Moses Magogo.

Born on November 8th 1976 to Samuel Zua Nkinda and Ruth Biribawa all residents of Kamuli district.

Hr had his primary education at Kagulu primary school where he participated in sports as an athlete specializing in long distance running (10,000 meters race) whereas the soft spoken Engineer had his secondary  education level at Jinja College and Namilyango College School.

He is an engineer by professional having acquired a degree in Electrical Engineering at MUK where he was an interior minister during his tenure while in Nkrumah hall.

Magogo later converted to Islam because as seen earlier, his parents were both Christians.

On retiring from active football, he became an administrator at Mutundwe Lions (defunct), then to Kinyara Works employed him because of being the company’s team’s player before moving to the African Development Bank (ADB) as an ICT specialist.

Became FUFA president in August 2013 succeeding Lawrence Mulindwa whom he had deputised from 2005-2013.

As a FUFA boss, he has achieved the following;

a) Introduced the FUFA juniors league.

b) In 2014, started FUFA Women League.

c) Solicited funds from government.

d) Helped Uganda to qualify for AFCON since 1978.

e) Started players contract regulations.

During his tenure, Uganda had its highest ranking ever n FIFA placed 62nd in 2016.
