Police in Kanungu has commenced investigations into a horrific suspected arson attack that has claimed the life of a 12-year-old boy.
12-year-old Rodgers Ahimbisibwe, a resident of Kabuga in Kihihi sub-county, Kanungu district met his harsh death when his house was torched to ashes at 4 PM on Monday afternoon.
The Father, David Tumuhimbise, says he left Ahimbisibwe home and proceeded to work in his garden only to receive the shocking news that his house was on fire from panicking residents who stormed his garden.
Tumuhimbise, run home but to his dismay, the boy was already reduced to ashes.
He says that the deceased could have been saved in time, only he was dumb and lame and could neither shout for help nor run for his life.
Elly Maate, the Kigezi Region Police spokesperson, says they handed over the deceased’s body to Kihihi health center IV for postmortem as they proceed with investigations.
