A terrible accident on Monday along Kampala -Masaka has claimed the lives of Four people, including two children.
The incident that took place at Nabusanke Trading Center involved a motorcycle registration number UBU 530 and a sand truck registration number UDF 334F.
The four died on the spot after the motorcycle they were riding on was knocked by the truck in Mpigi District on Kampala-Masaka road.
The dead have been identified as Catherine Nakayiza,10, a one Shadia, 9, the motorcycle rider only identified as Kasagga and another passenger, Denis Lubyayi.
Eyewitness reports claim the deceased were traveling on a motorcycle that was coming from Kyazanga and headed for Mpigi Town Council, before being knocked by the sand truck.
Traffic Police have taken the bodies to Gombe Hospital mortuary for postmortem pending further investigations.
However, a traffic policeman who preferred anonymity because he’s not the official police spokesperson says the driver of the vehicle ran away after causing the accident.
