A 50-year-old monster in Masaka has been jailed 14 years for defiling his 5-year-old granddaughter.
The High Court in Masaka presided over by Justice Winfred Nabisinde on Friday last week heard that on January 6, 2019; the wicked grandfather lured the minor into his house, undressed her and defiled his five-year-old daughter.
The minor was living with the grandfather Deus Mukasa, a resident of Nabwaata in Kalungu District when the unfortunate incident happened.
Prosecution led by Ivan Nkwasibwe adduces that the culprit asked his grand-daughter not to tell anyone, however, the minor later informed one of their neighbors who immediately alerted police.
Nkwasibwe told the court that the culprit pleaded guilty through Pre bargain. The trial magistrate agreed with the two sides and sentenced Mukasa to 14 years in jail.
