The Uganda National Examinations Board (UNEB) officials on Wednesday, January 29, 2020, briefed Education and Sports minister Janet Museveni about 2019 Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) students’ performance.
The closed-door meeting held at State House, Nakasero in Kampala, was attended by UNEB Executive Secretary Dan Odongo and the UNEB chairperson Prof Mary Okwakol briefed ministry officials including Janet Museveni Education and Sports minister, John Chrysostom Muyingo State Minister for Higher Education and Rosemary Nansubuga Seninde, State Minister for Primary Education among others.
However, no details of what transpired were revealed to journalists.
The Education and Sports minister is expected to release the UCE results on Friday, January 31, 10 am at the Office the President Auditorium
A total of 337,380 candidates sat for UCE in 2019 with 144,131 from government-aided schools and 193,249 from private.
