As schools officially open for the first term on Monday 3rd February 2020, Police have called for vigilance on the part of parents against fraudsters who are alert on the streets seeking to con unsuspecting victims of school fees and belongings.

Addressing Journalists at police headquarters in Naguru, Polly Namaye the Deputy police spokesperson appealed to parents to escort their children who are carrying school fees and big quantities of back to school items for their safety and to avoid them from falling prey to criminal related incidents.

She added that parents need to realize that the majority of school-going children are vulnerable to conmen who may defraud them of their school fees and their possessions.

Polly Namaye also noted that police have also enhanced surveillance in all banking areas to ensure that the safety of the children who are banking their fees from fraudsters who always place themselves at banking centers to con children.
