A vicious mob has murdered a man reportedly caught red-handed defiling an unidentified girl.
The deceased is Arinaitwe Barlison a resident of Mungaaro village, Kibuzigye parish, Bubaare sub-county in Rubanda district.
It’s alleged that on 25/02/2020 at around midnight, he was clobbered by the angry mob that sneaked in on him performing the act on the girl.
Upon being discovered, a panicking Arinaitwe attempted to flee the scene by running off only to be busted at Nyakabungo village by the angry mob who pounded him to his death.
Elly Maate the Kigezi Regional Police mouthpiece says was notified, a team from the district police headquarters responded to the scene of crime, however, they only found a smashed lifeless body lying in a pool of blood.
Maate cautioned people against acting with no evidence.The body was taken to kabale referral hospital for postmortem and be handed over to the relatives.
