Chaos rocked Kalisizo General Hospital in Kyotera district on Tuesday night when irate patients and attendants pounced on hospital staff and destroyed property accusing two midwives of causing the death of a pregnant mother.
The two Midwives who were on duty that night were put behind police bars for being negligent hence causing the Death of an Expectant Mother.
Gaudencia Namata a resident of Buzilanduulu village in Kasasa sub-county died shortly after she failed to raise a bribe for the two wicked midwives to refused aid her delivery.

The reckless duo identified as Betty Namubiru and Faith Nakamatte reportedly ignored a heavily pregnant Namata who stormed the hospital with excruciating labor pains on Tuesday at midnight seeking attention.
The two heartless women allegedly demanded Namata who was in grave pain at that moment to pay them Shilling 160,000 before she can be worked on to deliver the child.
Eyewitnesses’ account claims both the deceased and her attendant who reached the ward at midnight begged the wicked midwives to be worked on while they look around for the bribe a few more hours till the next day but their requests fell on deaf ears until the pregnant mother died.
This caused outrage from both patients and attendants at the hospital who protested the bad behavior exhibited by the nurses and started destroying hospital property , from smashing windows and door glasses to pouncing on hospital staff and beating them in anger.
Police were called in to restore order and later arrested the two midwives who are currently detained at Kalisizo Police Station.
Innocent Tumwine, the Officer in Charge the station explains that the search is on for Emmanuel Ssekyeru the Hospital Administrator who could have been an accomplice in the matter. “
Meanwhile, the Kyotera District Health Officer Doctor Edward Muwanga expressed regret at the incident and said management will carry out a general audit on the conduct of health workers at the hospital for purposes of preventing similar incidents.
