Police in Hoima have captured a man who was on the run for viscously chopping off his Aunt’s hand in a heated scuffle over land.

The land in question is a half-acre piece of land.

Derrick Nseka reportedly attacked his aunt Alice Tuhaise, a resident of Kaitira cell Kuhukya ward Busiisi on Monday.

Tuhaise, says she inherited the land from her late father who willed it to her but was shocked to learn that her nephew claimed it was his.

On that fateful day, Nseka reportedly ambushed Tuhaise while cooking in her kitchen with a sharp-edged Panga that he used to mercilessly disfigure her left hand by chopping it off before severally cutting her in the neck, back, and head.

Feeling satisfied with the gruesome act, he fled leaving his helpless aunt on the ground bleeding profusely.

Zahara Kobusinge, the victim’s daughter who witnessed the scene playout says she saw Nseka approach her mother as she prepared food in the Kitchen then an argument ensued between the two over the piece of land.

Kobusinge says she later saw her merciless cousin flee the kitchen before she heard her mother screaming for help.
