Mityana Municipality MP Francis Zaake is still hospitalized according to the Speaker of Parliament Rebecca Kadaga.
Speaker Kadaga visited Zaake and Lubaga South MP Kato last week in their respective hospitals.
Kadaga was upset by the state of the Mityana MP who was allegedly tortured by police while reportedly distributing food in Mityana.

The speaker on return to the house ordered government to present a substantive report on the events surrounding Zaake’s arrest.
Kadaga said last week: “I am saddened to hear about acts of torture that continue to be meted on some Ugandans; it’s said that this was reportedly inflicted upon an MP.”
Minister of state for internal affairs Obiga Kania Thursday took to the floor to explain blow by blow account on how police arrested and drove the legislator to Kampala.
Minister Kania in his account presented that government was not pleased with the Zaake’s indecent appearing in court even though he refused to dress decently.

The minister decried: “D/IP Twesigye ought not to have carried him to court indecently dressed. This was wrong.”
He said government agreed with the magistrate: “The magistrate did the right thing to refuse to take a statement of plea from Hon. Zaake.”
Government present 7 outstanding inquiries to be conducted to establish the truth.

To record statement from Zaake’s maid on the allegations that her phone was taken by the police
To cross check with CMI with a view of establishing whether Zaake was taken there on the night of 19th April, 2020 as he alleges
To retrieve phone print outs with a view of establishing the person who talked to D/IP Twesigye whom Hon. Zaake claims to be His excellence that wanted to talk to Zaake at one time.
To retrieve admission medical report of Hon. Zaake from Lubaga Hospital
To visit the residence of Hon. Zaake to determine if the bedroom door was broken
There is need to have Hon. Zaake subjected to an independent medical examination to determine his health status.

The Speaker deferred the debate on the statement by Minister Obiga on the arrest and brutal torture of Zaake to next week on Tuesday, 12th of May, 2020.
