Police in Kasanda district are investigating a case of a gruesome Murder involving a father and son.
A 35-year-old man Joseph Mugerwa is accused of hacking his biological father to death using a knife and later dumping the lifeless body in a broken house.
The deceased is Enock Sennyonga, a resident of Kigalama village in the Myanzi sub-county was found by area residents lying in a pool of blood.
Locals claim that the father and Son have often engaged in loud and bitter quarrels loaded with threats.
The Locals allege that Mugerwa stabbed his father severally with a Knife before shifting the body to a part of the house that was apparently destroyed with an axe to give the public an impression it accidentally fell on the deceased.
However, Jane Nakaayi the village vice-chairperson saysMugerwa who lives with the deceased was reportedly absent from home when the tragedy occurred.
Police discovered inside the house a sharp blood-stained knife and an axe a few meters away.
Wamala Regional Police Spokesperson Rachael Kawala says that investigations have commenced following these allegations.
She adds that the body of the deceased has been taken to Kassanda health center IV for a postmortem and after, will be handed over to the relatives for burial.
