The Inspector-General of Police IGP Martin Okoth Ochola has made adjustments in three directorates of the Uganda Police Force.

Under the new amendments, AIGP Edward Ochom has been appointed Director of Operations replacing AIGP Asuman Mugenyi who retired recently.

AIGP Mugenyi served his last day in police uniform on Friday, May 29th, and temporarily handed over to his deputy John Nuwagiira.

Police have dismissed as false reports indicating that AIGP Mugenyi had either been suspended or fired.

Police spokesperson, Fred Enanga, clarified that he had served and ended his contract.

Ochom will be deputized by SCP John Nuwagiira.

Among other changes is that of AIGP Andrew Soroweni who has been moved from Directorate of General Duties to the Directorate of Welfare and Production as Director.

Also Senior Commissioner of Police (SCP) James Ochaya is the Ag Director Research, Planning, and Development.

Enanga says all changes take immediate effect.
