The two opposition giants the former FDC party president Dr. Kizza Besigye and Kyadondo East MP Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine have finally teamed on Monday, June 15, 2020, to have coalition talks as the country gears up for General Elections in 2021.
The meeting that is underway at Rose Garden in Wakiso District, is discussing among other things the effects of COVID-19 to the population and solutions therein.
This is the first time that Bobi wine and Byesigye have converged forces to form an alliance.
This comes shortly after Bobi wine publicly reassured Ugandans of his presidential bid and trashed gossip that he was pulling out of the race toward the presidency.

Last week while addressing a presser, the people power pressure group leader mentioned a possible partnership in fielding a joint candidate for the elections come 2021.
In the same spirit, Dr. Besigye leader of peoples’ government, a pressure group within FDC has referred to this alliance as a great moment.
The meeting that is scanty in attendance to follow the guidelines of social distancing also has invited the JEMA party president Asuman Basalirwa and Lord Mayor Erias Lukwago.
