Uganda Hippos 1-0 Cameroon

Steven Mukwala celebrated his birthday with a goal that saw Hippos to upset Cameroon Under 20 in CAF qualifiers

The Total U-20 Africa Cup of Nations is the main international youth football competition for CAF nations, and is competed for by under 20 year olds.

 

It is held every two years with the top 4 teams qualifying for the FIFA U-20 World Cup.

Young Vipers SC striker Mukwala’s goal came in the first half of the game in the 44th minute to claim his 4th in this in this qualifying campaign.

The striker and KCCA FC play-maker Allan were a threat for Cameroon all afternoon at the Phillip Omondi stadium in Lugogo.

The return leg of the AFCONU20Q between Cameroon and Uganda will be played next week on Friday 1in Yaounde.

FUFA have announced that the Uganda Hippos will remain in camp and are scheduled to depart for Cameroon on Wednesday.
