A day after Express Express FC ushered in a new technical staff comprising of George Ssemwogerere (head coach) and James Magala (assistant) and Hassan Mubiru (Trainer), Katwe-based club, Katwe United Football club and issued a statement saying Mubiru is still their coach.

“Katwe United FC has received with concern , false information making rounds in the social media that our club tactician, Hassan Mubiru has left us and returned to his former club, Express FC. This information is not true and is misleading. Express approached us (Katwe United) for Mubiru as their trainer. For the progress of the game in the country, we didn’t object, on an understanding that he remains our coach”

Mubiru, a ftermer Express FC striker, previously served at the Red Eagles as trainer and fitness coach under coaches; Mathias Lule, Wasswa Bbosa and Douglas Bamweyana.

After the appointment of Kefa Kisala at the begining of the this season, Mubiru left and joined Katwe United, a regional side after signing a three year contract on August 13 2018.
