Police in Kampala is investigating an incident where a 21 year old man identified as Baker Kasumba, a resident of AVIS KIVULU, Kawempe division, Kampala who was who was clad in an NRM cap was intercepted by two heartless unidentified men who hit him on the head and nailed his hands.

According to Kasumba, yesterday, he left his workplace; Jesco, Ham shopping centre at 10:00pm. But as he heading home, he realized that he had spent some time without visiting his mother. He decided to go and check on her, but used a short cut through Kalerwe.

As he was about to reach the fly over, out of the blue, two men grabbed him, and nailed his hands with two 6-inch nails.

Fortunately, two women who were looking for their missing child saw the men and made an alarm. Kalerwe police responded and Kasumba was rushed to Mulago hospital where he is currently receiving treatment.

KMP, police spokesperson, Patrick Onyango says Kasumba is now out of danger and police investigations are underway;

According to a reported narration from Kasumba, he claims that a few days earlier, a man had threatened him at his workplace to stop supporting the NRM and President Museveni. He, therefore, suspects the same man could have planned with others to harass him.

“We shall not accept this kind of political intimidation and whoever is using it should desist from it. We condemn the attack in the strongest term it deserves,” a statement from police reads.
