Express FC 1-3 KCCA FC

By Denis Mayega in Wakisha Resource Center

KCCA FC did not require the services of their star man Allan Okello to see off city rivals Express FC at Wakisha Resource Center Wednesday evening.

Okello is with the Uganda Cranes team in Burkina Faso along with goalkeeper Charles Lukwago and midfielder Nicholas Kasozi for the African Nations qualifier fixture.

KCCA FC dictated the pace of the game for the better part of the afternoon with little left for the hosts Express FC.

Teenage striker Sadat Anaku who shouldered the burden of the goals with Okello’s absence announced his presence before the capacity crowd by launching a scotching ball to open the flood gates in the 14th minute.

Then Mike Mutyaba who was named MTN fans player of the match connected Erisa Ssekisambu’s beautiful ball to hand the visitors a second goal four minutes after Anaku’s opener.

Pilsner man of the match, Ssekisambu could have made it three at the start of the second half but his first time ball came off the wood works.

Mike Mutebi introduced Nigerian John Egbuonu Odumegwu for Anaku and Keziron Kizito for Mutyaba.

The champions stretched their lead to three after the hosts own goal in the 72nd minute of play.

Frank Kalanda pulled one for Express FC converting from the spot in the 75th minute.
