Police at Kajjansi Police Station are holding two suspected murderers for allegedly ending the life of a herdsman and stealing 24 head of cattle.

The suspects are identified as Kamu Nanjo and Isaac Odema.

Kajjansi police first registered a case of cattle theft and disappearance of a herdsman on Tuesday when businessman Simon Ssekaayi, reported that his cattle and sheep valued 36 million Shillings had been stolen by unknown people and that his herdsman was missing.

In his statement, Ssekayi, a resident of Kitovu, Ssisa Subcounty, Wakiso District, identified the missing herdsman only as Kamugisha.

Upon interrogation, according to Onyango, the suspects confessed to have stolen the animals from Kitovu and that they had killed the herdsman.

Nanjo and Odema are currently detained at Kajjansi Police. They are charged with murder and cattle theft.
