Over the weekend, the quarter final games in the CAF competitions took place where some Ugandans were part of the games at that stage.

Abdul Lumala’s Pyramids knocked out Zanaco of Zambia on a 3-1 aggreate whereas Robert Odongkara’s Horoya of Guinea progressed past Enyimba of Tanzania by 3-1 on aggregate.

Abdul Lumala was substituted in the 61st minute and Mohammed Hamdi was introduced on the pitch when playing against Zanaco fc at Cairo stadium.

Robert Odongkara did not take part in the game neither was he on the bench after going down the pecking order of goalkeepers at Horoya fc. Actually he is considered as the fourth goalkeeper as of now after Germain Berth, Moussa Camara and Abdoulaye Kante.

The winner between Pyramids and Horaya will play against the winner between RSB Berkane and Hassania Agadir.

The final shall be played on 1st May and it should be remembered that Al Ahly have taken the trophy six times the most number since its inception.
