The corona-virus cases in Uganda have risen to 52 according to the ministry of health.
Uganda registered zero cases as of Sunday after 398 people were tested maintaining the number at 48.
The ministry of health Monday morning revealed the results from more tests done on 300 people on quarantine.
The ministry confirmed in a statement signed by Director General Health Services Henry Mwebesa: “4 new COVID-19 cases confirmed, today out of 300 samples tested at
@UVRIug. Total confirmed cases in Uganda stands at 52.”
As it has been, Dubai has continued to consume the biggest number of cases registered.
Mwebesa confirmed: “All 4 confirmed cases are Ugandans who returned from Dubai, UAE on 22 March 2020. They were under quarantine at the time of test.”
The new cases released by the ministry include;
A 27 year old Ugandan male, resident of Kikokiro, Wakiso who arrived from Dubai, UAE on 22nd March 2020.
A 66 year old Ugandan female, resident of Luzira, Kampala who arrived from Dubai, UAE on 22nd March 2020.
A 65 year old Ugandan female, resident of Jinja who arrived from Dubai, UAE on 22nd March 2020.
A 26 year old Ugandan male resident of Rubaga, Kampala who arrived from Dubai, UAE on 22nd March 2020.
“We appeal to every Ugandan to be vigilant, and promote the preventive behaviours”, Richard Kabanda, Ag. Commissioner, Health Promotion, Education and Strategic Communication urged.
