While the rest of Uganda is locked up in their respective houses adhering to the national lockdown a few thugs are busy having dubious plans up their sleeves for survival.

Among them are three hooligans who will have to pay for their sins after they were intercepted by security guys from the Joint Security Task Force –JTF while attempting to break into shops.

The notorious gang was busted by the Assistant Superintendent of Police-ASP, Ivan Nduhura on Wednesday night who throw them behind the cold bed bag infested cells of CPS Kampala in the crowd of others.

The Kampala Metropolitan police spokesperson, Patrick Onyango identifies the suspects as Sunday Gerald, Nensi Magisibo and Abasa alias duplicate.

He explains that the suspects were found still scratching their heads on how to Rob clean shops along Ben Kiwanuka Street with hammers, machetes, knives, metals, and drugs.

“Investigations are still ongoing and the trio will be arraigned before a court of law after consulting with the state attorney on the charges preferred,” Onyango said.

However, security agencies continued to assure traders not to worry about the safety of their business as they are under their protective hand.

“We want to assure the business community that as they stay home, we shall strengthen our patrols, both foot and motorized in a bid of stopping such acts from happening,” Onyango said.

Col. Mike Waneiroba, was last week appointed by the Chief of Defense Forces–CDF, Gen David Muhoozi, to deploy around the City  for the safety of people’s property as the new LDU commander

Since then over 200 LDUs have been deployed to do that job.
