Two truck drivers have tested positive of the deadly Corona-Virus at the borders of Malaba and Kagera.

The minister of health Dr. Jane Ruth Aceng announced Saturday that a new plan which involves the truck drivers has been hatched.

In her address to the nation, the nation’s sweetheart pleaded with prostitutes at the borders to keep away from the truck drivers.

Dr. Ruth begged: “I appeal to you who live along the highways, including women who socialise with them in whatever way, to stay away from truck drivers. Let them do their work without social contact.”

The minister, however, highlighted the significance of the drivers.

She said: “Cargo drivers are transporting critical supplies that could save lives both in Uganda and across the borders.”

Dr. Aceng noted that the army and police are heavily deployed at the routes the drivers pass and that they have been given strict rules to follow.

Uganda has so far tested over 11,000 for Covid-19 and registered 55 cases.
