Uganda ranks among the leading African countries testing for Covid-19.
According to worldometers website on coronavirus, Uganda has tested 16,057 people with 63 testing positive.
South Africa (143,570), Tunisia (18,861), Egypt (55,000), Ghana (68,591), and Morocco (20832) lead in Africa.
Uganda leads in the East and Central African region with most countries falling below 10,000.
Meanwhile, Ministry of health has confirmed Thursday evening that 3 Kenyan truck drivers have been returned home.
Health Minister Jane Aceng last week reported that 2878 truck drivers have been tested with a Ugandan, Tanzanian and Kenyan testing positive.
The ministry also reported that there 90 individuals under institutional quarantine in Entebbe and Kampala. And that there are 90 individuals under quarantine in upcountry sites.
The ministry confirmed that there are 360 in total individuals under quarantine.
They also reported that 450 individuals have been discharged and that confirmed cases remain at 63.
