The nation will be anxious when President Yoweri Museveni returns next week.

President Museveni Tuesday night briefed the nation on the progress being made on the battle against Covid-19.

The President hailed the population for sticking together during the fight. He also thanked the health workers for putting up a spirited performance that has all patients admitted in good health and no fatalities.

Museveni told the nation he will return to announce way forward. Ugandans who have been on lock down for close to a month expect some ease.

However, it may depend on the survey being carried out by the ministry of health who are conducting internal testing.

The minister of health Dr. Jane Ruth Aceng told media during a news conference in Kampala that they are testing different groups of Ugandans.

Dr. Aceng expects to return with the results and brief cabinet. President Museveni in his address told the nation to continue to observe the measures government put in place to kick corona virus out of the country.

He also maintained that the country will not lock out truck drivers since they play a crucial role. He advised Ugandan girls and those at the border to stay away from them.

Museveni also revealed that the ministry of health will start testing people at the border since they interact with some of the people testing positive.
